The Bereavement Support Volunteer provides bereavement support services to families/caregivers. The Bereavement Volunteer provides ongoing emotional support to families or significant others of deceased hospice patients, as needed, for up to 13 months after the death of a patient.
Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Personal visits
- Condolence letters
- Telephone follow-up
- Support groups
