Help us make our Annual Fall Food Drive a success!
Volunteers will assist museum staff in creating a welcoming and fun environment for guests while supporting our community food collection effort.
Volunteer Roles Include:
- Greeting guests and accepting food donations at check-in
- Assisting in museum exhibits and helping families navigate the space
- Supporting STEM activity stations by engaging with children and resetting materials
- Keeping the event area tidy and ensuring all guests have a great experience
Who We’re Looking For:
Friendly, enthusiastic individuals (ages 14+) who enjoy working with children and families, and want to make a difference in the community.

Schedule
- Volunteer Arrival & Check-In: 8:30 in the front lobby of the museum
- Volunteer Check-Out: Volunteers will be let out around 12:15pm
- Event Hours (public): 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Parking
- Volunteers are encouraged to park in the Vermilion Parking Tower located 121 E Vermilion St, Lafayette, LA 70501, or in any available street parking.
- We ask that volunteers DO NOT park in our guest parking lot, so that we can save those spots for families attending the event.
- CMA phone lines don't turn on until 10 am. Please call 337-232-8500 and then Dial 2301 to reach the front desk, if you need help!
Check-In Instructions
Check-in in the lobby for assignments, name badges, and a quick briefing.
What to wear
Volunteers are welcome to wear family-friendly Fall attire to add to the festive fun! If you are wanting to wear regular clothes, please see our Volunteer Policies on our website for regular attire specifications.
Reminders
- Keep areas tidy; dispose of trash in designated spots.
- This is a rain or shine event, as all activities will be indoors.
- Report spills or safety concerns immediately to staff.
