Are you ready to ring in the New Year while making a difference? The Children’s Museum of Acadiana invites passionate, energetic volunteers to help us create a magical and memorable New Year’s celebration for our youngest guests!
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:
Activity Hosts: Assist children and families with fun carnival games, crafts, and activities. Create an exciting environment by engaging with visitors and distributing prizes.
Event Set-Up and Decoration: Help prepare the museum for the big event by setting up stations, decorating exhibit spaces, and creating a festive atmosphere for all.
Confetti Crew: Join the countdown excitement by prepping and coordinating the confetti celebration at "New Year's Noon." This team helps create the magical confetti blast that will make the moment unforgettable.
Greeters and Ticket Scanners: Welcome families, scan tickets, and provide information on event activities to ensure everyone gets the most out of their experience.
Exhibit Guides: Assist visitors in exploring our 12+ interactive exhibits, helping children engage in hands-on learning activities.
Clean-Up Crew: Assist in post-event cleanup to ensure the museum is ready for the new year!
Volunteer Requirements
- Age: Volunteers must be 16 or older. Family volunteers with younger helpers may be considered if supervised.
- Time Commitment: Volunteers should arrive by 11:30 AM for orientation and stay until 2:30 PM.
