Who We Are

We are members of the Acadiana community, and we understand the importance of providing women, children, and families a safe place to call home while they are rebuilding their lives. The staff, volunteers, and Board of Directors of The Outreach Center work together to provide available resources to individuals and families in dire need.

What We Do

The Outreach Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 1990 as a day shelter providing basic need services to the poor and homeless. Today we serve the five parishes in the region of Acadiana and our purpose is to assist struggling families transform their lives to reach their highest potential and maximize their quality of life. To achieve our mission of ending homelessness in our community our organization is fully committed to delivering a comprehensive and coordinated system of housing and support services for the prevention, reduction, and eventual end of homelessness. We have services that address the unique needs of homeless individuals and families. These services include long-term case management, life skills training, job placement assistance, transportation, and access to health care, education, and child care.
