The Clearport Learning Center

The Clearport Learning Center's mission is to provide an individualized educational experience that focuses on building character, creative career development, and a foundation for lifetime learning. The Clearport Learning Center launched in the Fall of 2014 as a project of the Merle and Herbert Hanna Foundation. The vision was to create a caring environment where students reach their full potential.We believe that education, honor, kindness, and courage are the cornerstones to success.

The Clearport Learning Center is a free afterschool program for high school students. The Clearport offers free high quality tutoring and ACT prep to teens in Acadiana. The Clearport provides mentorship through weekly meetings with students and paid staff. During these meetings, students learn life skills and career development stategies. Once a month, members of the community join in to provide mentorship through engaging Mentor Nights. The Clearport Learning Center is a safe, fun environment where teens can play games, work on arts and crafts, and socialize with other teens. The Clearport serves meals and snacks to students to allow students to feel completely suppported while they attend. The Clearport is empowering teens for a better tomorrow.
