Most of us don’t realize we have just two minutes to escape a home fire. That’s why the American Red Cross is preparing families to act quickly through our Home Fire Campaign.
From April 8th to May 8th the Louisiana Region of the American Red Cross will be hosting virtual events daily from 10:00AM – 1:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM.
During this time we will be connecting with families virtually over the phone to share preparedness information with them. We will also help them create an escape plan and encourage them to practice their two-minute drill, so they can safely escape a home fire.
Join us from the comfort of your home and help prepare your community against home fires. We will provide all of the training you’ll need and we’ll connect you virtually with people in our state who are ready to learn about the importance of home fire safety.
In Louisiana we have made over 323 homes safer since February 2021. This spring, we will educate even more households on the importance of home fire safety. We are counting on volunteers like you to help!
